    Things go from still fairly mundane except for the drug to full on weird shit is happening in the span of a few sentences.
    If the drug is any indication, that’s to be expected they get closer to whatever’s behind it. I’m with Charles on this one, intrigued *and* creeped out.

    Then you introduced a room full of faceless people. I am very glad I read this this morning and before bed. I am both incredibly intrigued and horrified by these cultists types, and feel like I’ve dipped my toes in something almost Lovecraftian. Well done! The sense of urgency and horror was incredibly palpable.
